Spring in Lääne County

2025

The exhibition featured a series of flower paintings by Jenny Grönholm and a concrete sculpture group “Them and Me” by Jass Kaselaane. Grönholm’s flower paintings and Kaselaane’s concrete sculptures form a whole, creating a contrasting but balanced dialogue between them.

Jenny Grönholm’s flower paintings express transience, destruction and rebirth, using flowers as symbols of the cyclical nature of life and relationships. The flowers depicted in her works refer to the endless cycle of life, death and renewal. Flowers symbolize the fragility of relationships and life, but at the same time also the possibility of a new beginning and renewal, offering hope and a balance between destruction and beauty.

Jass Kaselaane’s sculpture group “Them and Me” is the author’s introspective whole. At the heart of the composition is the idea of how a person relates to others and how individuality merges into the larger narrative of a group or society.
